Planechase
Planechase is a supplemental multiplayer set for Magic: The Gathering. The set introduced the Planechase format and the associated oversized Planar cards. It was released on 4th September, 2009.
The set consists of four game packs, each containing ten oversized Planar cards, a 60-card deck, a six-sided planar die and a strategy insert with multiplayer rules.
The Planar cards represent specific locations on planes in the Magic storyline, introducing “a groundbreaking new way to experience planeswalking”. The theme decks are tournament legal and each contains eight rares. Additionally, there was a different preview card from the upcoming Zendikar set in each of the four decks (Beast Hunt, Hideous End, Kor Sanctifiers and Whiplash Trap).
