Unlimited Edition

Unlimited Edition, or Unlimited is the second edition of the core set of Magic: The Gathering. The set consists of the same 302 cards as the Beta print run. It was released on 1st December 1993.

In order to protect the collectability of the Limited Edition set, the borders were changed from black to white. Core sets were printed with white borders during the period when they included only reprints, from Unlimited Edition through to 10th Edition, although foil cards were black-bordered beginning from their core-set introduction in Seventh Edition.

The print run was announced to be 35 million cards, the largest yet. It sold out by late March 1994. The cards were sold in 60-card starter decks and 15-card boosters.
